  Please, Don't EVER buy this Whiskey

  ok...we have been stocking up our liquor bar....and i saw this whisky: macnaughton for super cheap.....................(it says it is a canadian whiskey...but don't believe it........i know canadian whiskey's...this doesn't qualify).

  lol I am Canadian and I don' think I have ever heard of this.

  I don't even like Canadian whiskey because it is blended (although I think we now have a single malt producer on the east coast) If you want the real thing you have to do it right and go Scottish.

  I would recommend any single malt Scotch over any Canadian whiskey (although I do like to get warmed up on a cold winter's day with J.D.every so often )

  Merlot is not my preferrence (it was a passing fad with me about 15 years ago). Now I prefer the blended Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot. I find that it cuts down the peppery features that are so typical of many merlots and provides a more rounded and balanced bouqet.

  The other day I was at a restaurant and the owner sat with me and cracked open a few bottles. One was this Australian brand Little Penguin and it was a straight Merlot. It was fabulous. One of the easiest drinking Merlots that I have ever had. I highly recommend it as it is reasonably priced.

  Now I also know that you like your Shiraz. I would like to suggest that you venture outside of Ozzieland (assmunig your local wine store carries California brands) and see if you can locate a California version Syrah of a brand named R.H. Phillips. A much smaller vineyard than the well known Californians like Mondavi,Gallo or Fetzer. It will surprise the hell out of you.   It depends on your budget Min. Christmas is meant to be a happy time about sharing company aith your loved ones (at least that's the way I view it). If you're stressed financially then how could it possibly be happy. It's not the dollar amount which is important rather the thoughtfulness behind the giving (once again, in my opinion).

  I can't speak for girls because I only have 2 sons and nephews and my freinds have boys (kinda wierd huh?). Boys can be expensive with their PS2s and iPods and snow boards stuff.

  Now my sons are in their late teens and I buy them more clothes and less toys since that is their preferrence. I like this because getting alot of clothes at Christmas helps to cut down on clothes shopping expenses at non holiday times (Okay I know I'm a cheap bastard). Teen boy clothes are expensive here in Canada: $100 for a shirt; $125 for one pair of jeans. It really adds up because boys really wreck clothes fast or worse they leave $150 Phat Farm sweaters at a freinds house and you never see it again. Oh how I miss the old days when I could get away with buying their clothes at the Walmart.

  i think that pretty much says it all.we can all whine and groan about how the society has wronged us and how they are so self preserving and wrong , evil, false, controling decieving, self righteous,and whatever.those who speak of giving up or god is dead or now i smoke pot and god loves me or now i commit fornication and its okay or those that get drunk and say thats okay.man some of you sound like the apostate definition according to the society.the evil slave.in order not to allign yourself with satan your job i think is simple.stop doing wrong.

  quit trying to have sex outside of marriage,smoking pot,lieing cheating and stealing.i dont care who you are you dont want to die.

  ive tried it twice and am glad im still here.im no wuss either former power lifter very veril and have 4 children.some of you kill me with your live for today mentality.i have a hard time believing that you chose to leave rather than being disfellowshipped and just feel bitter.

  I notice you have only 17 posts.

  If you spend some time here and read more threads, you will find many examples of this. In fact, for many here at JWD this is the reason they left the Watchtower as they were not seeing Christ-like behavior in Watchtower material or in the brother/sisterhood of the JWs.

  I won't be happy until those industrial nation numbers start to go NEGATIVE.

  Canada: 0% growth (actually down from 108 409 to 108 012)
  

  Australia: 0% (up by 23 publishers)

  UK: 0% (up by 36 publishers)

  Considering many who have actually left are still on the books as publishers then there is probably negative growth in these three countries.

  Also what kind of level of donations do you expect they will be getting from the growth countries versus the above countries in decline. While theri may be a 2 percent worlwide growth, I wouldn't be surprised to see declining Revenue for Brooklyn.

  i sent a pm to one of the forum assistants telling him this, and he said i should post and let everyone know how it went.. i didn't want to do this until mario posted first, because it's about his daughter, not mine.

  but, i know all you wonderful people out there are waiting for some news on the memorial service, and i think mario is too grief stricken to be able to write right now.

  sometimes these things hit you harder after it's all over, because now you have more time to think about it.
